The ESADMM is dedicated to developing ambitious international policies. The school relies on a first class student exchange network. The goal of our presence internationally is to take into account and track the art scene’s evolution: the appearance of globalized art regarding art criticism in reference to Western international art models over the past two decades. This new position is taught at the school through seminars, classes and conferences. Educational trips, dedicated to big European events, like the Documenta de Kassel or principal biennales (Venice, Lyon…) complete this approach.<\/p>\n
Partnership strategies, which the school develops or considers, are open to the world, beyond local and regional territories such as our contacts with the city of Beijing or the Ivory Coast art show for example.<\/p>\n
Europe also remains a terrain with privileged collaborations, shown by the relations with cities like Hamburg or Zurich. The dialogue maintained with the Villa Mediterranean has given birth to the \u201cAgora\u201d project led by the Design department in partnership with design institutes in Jerusalem, Istanbul, Thelassoniki and Venice, pursuing the school’s presence in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n

INTERNATIONAL NETWORKS OF PARTNER SCHOOLS<\/strong><\/p>\n The ESADMM is ranked among top art schools for the quality and number of student exchanges. Moreover, the school is at the heart of the initiative of art schools in the Erasmus program. The exchanges and stays are put in place with more than 50 art and design schools in the world.<\/p>\n Each year, about 40 fourth-year-students (Design and Art majors), benefit from numerous partnerships with other Art and Design schools. These international movements also concern teachers: each year, several teachers go to our European partner schools, and we receive in return, artists and theoreticians from these schools.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n WELCOMING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n These exchanges are also the occasion for the ESADMM to welcome many international students during one or two semesters. Everything is done so that their integration within the school is as fast as possible. Free French lessons are given by the ESADMM. These visits must be prepared in advance. In the year preceding the visit (in November), an information meeting is scheduled for all the 3rd<\/sup>-year-students. This meeting is the occasion to: reaffirm the school’s position in terms of international mobility, determine the obligations and stakes that result from foreign study and to specify the procedures for enrollment forms.<\/p>\n A selection committee for foreign study is organized in March. It is composed of the art and pedagogy director, the study and research accountant, the international relations accountant, the international pedagogy exchange coordinator, coordinating professors of 3rd<\/sup>-year and two professors.<\/p>\n OBTAINING CREDITS DURING FOREIGN STUDY<\/strong><\/p>\n The semester is validated thanks to mandatory feedback at the start of semester 8; there are different case scenarios:<\/p>\n The exchange semester validation: when the receiving school transmits a semestrial evaluation form (ECTS, or other rating system).<\/p>\n Obtaining credits through equivalency, for students who come back without any credits (individual trips, internships) or with less than 30 credits. \nInternational trade in the ESADMM are primarily open to students master one. You\u2019ll be welcomed into the group of students in licence or master one corresponding to the 5th to 8th semesters. However, in the \u00ab\u00a0CPI\u00a0\u00bb and workshops, students from different levels come together and work together. That is why we also accept to receive students who have not yet reached the master. They can choose courses appropriate to their level of education.<\/p>\n\n
